And Remember!

I never weigh however I do measure. So if you have a hard time with hopping on a scale do what I do. Besides scales to me are misleading. It's how my clothes fit and can I breath when I'm tying my shoes that count. Right!

Yesterday was my second day of excercise- DAY 2

Day 2.  It took a lot for me to workout yesterday.  I had a cold but I was determined to do it.  Joyce Vedral gives a lot of warnings during the day 2 workout in regards to; if your not in shape in order to not become discouraged you should not do the super sets, which is sound advise.  And I took it. Towards the end of the workout I was beginning to feel it from the day before. Which is a good thing! So I took her advise and I'm the smarter for it And I'm not discouraged.
The main thing that stuck in my mind last night as I went to bed is, Joyce says, in the beginning of her workouts, that she designed them in what she terms a pyramid system.  It allows the parts your not working to rest and only concentrates on the part you are working. Plus the pyramid technique, which means, according to what weight your lifting is in direct correlation with the number of reps you would do.  I.E., the heavier the weight the less reps you do.  This has saved me.  THANK YOU JOYCE!  This method has shown me that I can do this.
I am someone who has gotten really out of shape.  I mean really, my thigh is usually 11" round and currently I measured the first day of working out and its currently 26" round. So that gives you an idea of how out of shape I have gotten.
And I hate it.  But working out with Joyce has made me see I don't have to be this way even with my spinal injury.
I had purchased a couple of Joyce's books during my rehab after my accident and wish now I had enough sense (I was on a hydrocodone)to start working with her techniques during my rehab because I don't think it would have gotten this bad if I had. AND I believe that I would have recovered much faster than the year and a half it took to just start walking.
Yesterday when I walked in the yard I actually began to feel like my old self again.
Today I will take a break and tomorrow I will go back to workout Day 1 again since there are only 2 days on this workout.
Then I will do Day 2 the next day and then rest the third day and repeat until I feel I'm ready to move to one of her more advanced workouts.
Plus,I still have the option of her workout 101  which is great as well.
Ok I have got to go for now but I will be back soon.
It's my hope that in sharing my experience with you, someone reading this who feels its gone
too far for them will realize it's never too late to love yourself enough to make the healthy change you need in your life.
I'm making a change and Joyce makes it easier for me to do that physically and mentally. I hope you jump on the band wagon and start changing your life too. See ya'll tomorrow. Bye for now.

Day 1! I did it!

It was great!  I watched the video and went through the motions without weights for the last few days and today I started my first day of Joyce Vedral's workout - Day 1.  I feel a tad bit sore but that's ok because I am feeling like my old self again. And I know tomorrow will be a good workout because of the good feelings and surprising agility I had during the first day of her dvd.  I used 2,3, and 5 lb. weights which wasn't difficult at all.  I did however feel a burn in the upper body workout in the back of my arms and it made me feel as though I was doing it right.  All in all a great start and I look forward to tomorrows 2nd day. Bye for now and have a great evening!  Annie:)
