I never weigh however I do measure. So if you have a hard time with hopping on a scale do what I do. Besides scales to me are misleading. It's how my clothes fit and can I breath when I'm tying my shoes that count. Right!

There's a method to my madness...really there is!!!

I have now fetched my weight bench. Which I will be showing later this evening.  Tomorrow my mom and daughter come in from Pearland Tx., and we're going grocery shopping which is a great time for me courtesy of my handsome hubby to get my 2 and 3 lb. weights..


You see ladies...the years workout start on January 1st.  And I'm adding my content and gathering my workout equipment so that I am ready to go and then the years workout journal begins.  TaDaa! And you thought I was avoiding working out.  Nope I'm doing this. I just want everything right from the beginning. Including my eating regiment and I never weigh myself.  I always measure and go how my clothes feel.

OK PEOPLE! I'm going to do this!

It's 11-29-11 and even though I know its foggy outside...incredibly actually, I'm going to get my weight bench from moms.  I set up one of my living rooms as a workout area and all I need now is my 2,3lb. weights, 2 pillows for my back (firm of course)  and woo hoo! I'm doing this...!  I'll let ya'll know by the end of this day how things have gone. :)

Go Me!

Tomorrow I will get up and go get my workout bench and the 2 and 3lb. weights I need to continue.  But before I do that I will be working out with my 1lb. and 5 lb. weights with my aerobic step as my bench...can't wait I'm so excited!
Since I have a spinal injury (drug by a horse)  I'm trying to take as many precautions as I can to avoid injury so I decided it would be better to be prepared completely. I want this to be a success so that's what I have decided to do at this point.  
If anyone reading this has a spinal injury or back problems Joyce shows how to place pillows to lay on while your working out on the floor and with weights to help with back injuries.  This is on her Cougar workout video.  Ah yes I said Cougar!  Snicker!

Ok 1 more thing about my first days workout that you should know!

I'm starting out with "The Complete Weight Training Series PLUS Workout 101."


 It's the Workout 101 that I'm starting with today.  This is where Joyce is going to teach me, while I use no weights, how to properly do each of the 9 exercises.  


And I know from watching the her dvd's first that if I don't want to do squats in the beginning then she has another option for me.  

DAY 1! 12-28-11

This is my first day with Joyce's workout! I have 1lb.and 5lb. hand weights so I'm not exactly ready as far as that goes.  My workout bench is at my mom's about 9 miles away but that's ok because all I have to do is go get it.
Right!?  
I have watched all her videos first and know what to expect from them.  I think this is very important.  Otherwise, I think I would get confused and then quit out of frustration.  So if your reading this watch her videos first and then start them.  At least you'll not have any excuses, which I'm trying very hard not to have.
I mean its great laying on the couch with a bowl of popcorn watching TCM movies, but let's face it...my butt would hate me for that.  SO I have to get up off my butt and do this.
Oh yea!  I'm going to be building bone under muscle.  That's what Joyce says. YEA!
